Sex Education
The Governing Body have decided that Sex Education should form part of the school's curriculum. In reaching this view, consideration was given to views of parents, teachers and other members of the community.
Sex Education is addressed as part of our cross-curricular work, alongside other health-related topics. The programme helps children to consider moral issues and to value relationships with others and family life. Our school nurse contributes to the programme.
Parents can withdraw their child from all or part of the sex education programme if they wish and opportunities will be provided for the child to undertake other activities during the relevant lessons.
